Three more paintings from 2013. I read yesterday if you have a blog you need to keep it up to date so as to appear in control and active in your career. So, here it is, and now if I can maintain a virtual presence I think I'll be on my way. During this past year I did many more plants than I usually do. They are more challenging than landscapes because of their intricacy. Recently I painted a figure from a photograph that a friend gave me, usually I take my own photographs but this particular photo was taken on trip we took with a group of friends to Tuscany, and it spoke to me. I entered it into an art exhibit but will post it when I get it back. So don't be surprised it you see more figurative work posted here soon. Don't be surprised if you don't, either.
